BIO
His Name is Dolores (HNID) are a six-piece metal band based in the North West of England.
Formed in 2024 by longtime friends vocalist Will Pascoe (aka “Princess”) and bassist Connor Lawler, the band were soon joined by guitarist Sam Franklin, drummer Andy Craig and most recently by second lead vocalist Lewis Joyce and guitarist James Jones.
HNID’s sound is inspired by the early deathcore/metalcore bands vocalist Will grew up listening to in California, but also has undeniable elements of modern-day hardcore and street metal.
The band released their debut EP Cordycep in 2024, with tracks covering topics from posers and time wasters (”Step the Fuck up”) and that one person you can’t get out of your head (“Cordycep”), to the collective obsession we have with hiding from things that might hurt us (“Triggered”).
Lyrically, Will draws from deep-rooted anger at the world and lifelong feelings of otherness, with lyrics often reflecting the things he screams in his sleep.
The band name raises questions, too. As the band put it: “We like to let people decide what HNID means for themselves. If you feel weird saying it, you might want to ask yourself why."
Off the back of a run of shows in early 2026, including being a part of two sold-out hometown dates, the band have their sights set high. With upcoming appearances at Dark Reign Festival and a slot supporting Hacktivist this summer.
